The Industries, especially their personnel, need to be upgraded constantly on the knowledge/skill for improving the system throughput/productivity while assimilating the changed in technology. FITT had embarked upon innovative programmes together with IITD faculty and industry users in creating trained and skilled manpower in IT sector. Towards this end, FITT had formulated an Advanced Course on Software Technology (S.Tech.) programme for upgrading non-IT engineers and scientists into software professionals. As a further measure of knowledge enrichment, FITT is marketing some of the courses and specialized programmed capsuled into videotapes/CD-ROMs as education products. Such products, which emulates the teaching in IIT Delhi in a classroom environment, are a source of educational enrichment for other technical institutions. This apart, FITT has been organizing a number of programmes involving knowledge/skill upgradation for the industry personnel with expertise and facilities available with the IITD faculty and resources. More than 300 programmes have so far been organized by
FITT.
